My First Blog Post

Hello! I honestly have no idea how to start a blog or a website so honestly I am a little nervous! But you know what they say, if you don't start now then when? I've always wanted to, I actually have many drafts of websites that I started but just never finished so I hope this blog doesn't do the same!

So, let's get started shall we?

My name is Hayley and I am currently 24 years old. God... 24! You know when you're 16 and you're like "omg 20 is sooo old, and now at 24 I'm like omg I was so young when I was 16." I do not feel as old as my 16 year old self made out to be. Always, I'm already getting carried away. I lived overseas most of my life on an island called Bahrain sat in the Middle East. I have recently started studying for a masters in Music Education where I am learning the skills to teach vocal and instrumental lessons. I play the trumpet and I sing. I consider myself a songwriter, singer, artist, creative, versatile musician and all sorts really! I am definitely more the creative type than I am an academic haha. I love interior design, fashion, beauty, hiking, travelling and animals. My family are a big lover of animals, we had 6 cats at one point and now we have 3 cats and a dog aka. my best friend Winnie.

It's strange to talk about myself and especially during a global pandemic where people's lives have changed so much due to a rapid virus. After completing my undergraduate degree, I was taking a year to save up so money to move to London and start a career as cabin crew! Obviously, with lockdown and massive changes in the travel industry that dream is currently on hold! So to use my time wisely I am studying this Masters, earning some money in teaching and starting my own business in blogging and social media! These were things I was planning to do anyway but during my career in the aviation industry but now I am, I suppose, doing them in preparation for my cabin crew job. I am so excited to be able to see the world and share the places I visit while working. I think you learn so much by travelling and if I can influence those to travel to unique and wonderful places across the globe and learn about culture and to follow their dreams, that honestly drives me to inspire on such an intense level.
